Platform

As a shipyard there was no need of a passenger platform so a new one has been designed and built. This is loosely based on the platform at Locomotion – The NRM at Shildon which seemed a reasonable example of a newly built (and fully accessible) platform. As with the engine shed it was drawn and printed, cut out and then clad with Scalescenes texture papers. The railings were bought at a show, the blackboard at the front reads “Today’s Trains” and is actually there to hide a very visible join in the railings. It took me a couple of attempts to get the build working correctly but the end result serves the purpose well.
