This is an N-Gauge bookshelf layout based on a Sunderland shipyard. How it came about, the construction and the slightly unusual control systems are all described in the pages linked below.
I have family links to the Doxfords shipyard, my Grandpa was a timekeeper there and Dad served his time in the engine works, so it was a natural choice for a layout. There is a lot more information on the yard itself here.
Many of the photos included on these pages are temporary and will be replaced once the scenery is completed so they may not be up to my normal standards.
