Monday - Northumberland Museums

I started the day going northwards to Bamburgh to visit the Grace Darling Museum before driving south down the coast to Woodhorn an then on to my second site of the holiday at Whitley Bay. The first museum, run by the RNLI, is small but very interesting. Woodhorn is a former pit, it’s main attraction is that it holds the core collection from The Ashington Group, better known as The Pitmen Painters.
